Louis Fernand Parent, Jr.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Louis Fernand Parent, Jr. on Friday, December 1, 2023.  Louis was our dearly loved husband, father, grandfather, father-in-law, and uncle, and will be greatly missed by his family and close friends.   The New Bedford, Massachusetts native lived in Savannah since 1964.  He was a graduate of St. Anthony’s Prep School in New Bedford, Mass, and in 1961 graduated from Fairfield University in Fairfield, CT.  He served in Korea with the U.S. Marine Corps.  He retired in 1995 as Executive Vice-President of Carson Products Company.

Louis was a member of the Savannah Golf Club, The Landings Club, and the Downtown Rotary Club.  He also served on the board of Savannah Golf Club, Union Mission, and was a charter member of L’Alliance Francaise.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Therese Charbonnier, Lucille Carney, and Florence Lajeunesse.

Surviving are his wife, Sandra Hilton Parent of Savannah; a daughter, Laura Parent Hubbard (Bud) of Huntsville, AL; a grandson, Charles Louis Hubbard, and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Savannah, P.O. Box 13190, Savannah, GA 31406, or the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675.

A Celebration of Life will be held in March.
